-December 14, 2016 – New Co-op from the University of Cincinnati to Join APTech’s R&D and Quality Lab
APTech Group is continuing their partnership with the University of Cincinnati’s School of Engineering and Applied Science as they welcome a new Co-op to their R&D and Quality Lab. Joining APTech’s team beginning in January, 2017 is Ryan Rhad, second year student majoring in Chemical Engineering from Fairfield, Ohio.
Their first Co-op, Caroline Kelly (a Chemical Engineer major and second year student at UC) finished her semester-long internship with the company – and she set the bar high. Her days were spent assisting with research and development of new solid concentrated products as well as quality testing of production batches of their current solid-concentrated chemical product line. In regards to her semester at APTech, Caroline stated that she “enjoyed the chance to learn about different opportunities available to a chemical engineering major.” She added, “APTech employees were truly invested in making my time here the most productive it could be.”
Ryan will pick up where Caroline left off, continuing to work closely with APTech’s chemical engineers as they test product and develop advances in water treatment technology and processes.
APTech values their relationship with the University of Cincinnati and hopes to continue their partnership by allowing students the opportunity to meet their educational requirements while giving them practical experience to further develop their skills in the field of engineering and applied science.
