There are 10,000 installations of solid chemistry worldwide. It may sound like a lot, but once you realize that solids can be installed as a best-fit solution in over one million applications, it becomes clear there is still an abundance of opportunities available. With a safe, reliable, user-friendly, cost-friendly solution widely available (compared to less-safe and messy liquids) and best-fit sites at every turn, why aren’t solids used in the other 99% of systems?

The truth is that many are unaware of the advancements AP Tech solids have made over the years, and there are some common misconceptions about them. Twenty years ago, AP Tech solids were founded on the need for a better water treatment solution over heavy containers and messy liquids. The first generation was groundbreaking in the industry. Through dedication, collaboration, and innovation, our solids have evolved and improved. If you haven’t looked at solids for a while, it’s time to take another look and discover the latest offerings.

Yesterday’s solids are NOT the same as today’s:

Yesterday's Solids Today's AP Tech Solids
Reliability Concerns/Inconsistencies in Product Feed & Control
NOW solids offer nearly 100% reliability in system control and is commonly more dependable than liquids. Consistent feed using PTSA discs makes reliability a reality. Product is always “at the ready” (never run out/place disc upon disc), and it’s easy to test using PTSA/controlled monitoring.
System Size Limitations
Product Limitations
NOW we manufacture a robust line (over 40 formulations) of cooling, boiler, and closed-loop products, including all-in-ones, specialty formulations, and biocides.
Unreliable Equipment
NOW our equipment portfolio includes dissolver options to fit an array of needs, all manufactured in-house by AP Tech, ensuring technical support and product quality.
High Cost
PTSA Unavailable
NOW the majority of AP Tech solid cooling products contain PTSA allowing for precise dosing and automated control.
Difficult & Time-Consuming Set-Up
NOW dissolver setup should take minimal time. Use the same configuration as liquids and utilize the AP Tech installation manual and support team for setup guidance.

From equipment options to control to upgraded product form and recent technological advancements, we can demonstrate with our calculations that AP Tech solids offer reliability and are highly competitive in the market. With these things considered, plus the legacy advantages of solids (i.e., safety & sustainability), the growth potential for solids is exponential. Additionally, we have found that end-users may not be informed that a solid option exists. Not surprisingly, our research has shown that when presented with the alternative, the end-user prefers solids over liquids and is ready to change.

You heard it from the source:  Today’s AP Tech solid chemistry water treatment and equipment have evolved and offer a trustworthy solution with a competitive advantage. If you haven’t explored the opportunities to get them in your facilities or apply them at your customer facilities, you’re missing out.
